Pathways to History

The walkways of the Cape May County Historical Museum must be updated in order to make them accessible, safe, and inviting to the public.  The project will also enhance the beauty of our existing buildings as well as provide a pleasant area for our members and visitors to enjoy the quiet surroundings of the Museum.  In order to make this possible, the museum has developed the idea of “Pathways to History.”

“Pathways to History” will be an engraved brick courtyard and sculpture gardens, and will offer a chance for individuals and businesses to leave their mark and become an everlasting part of Cape May County history.

Add your name to the list of Pathways to History Contributors

  • 8x8 brick
  • 6 lines
  • 13 characters per line
  • $200 contribution
  • 4x8 brick
  • 3 lines
  • 13 characters per line
  • $100 contribution

4x8 or 8x8 bricks and benches with  elegant plaques can be inscribed with a message, names, and/or dates of your choosing.  

Levels of Giving

  • $100 for the 4x8 brick
  • $200 for the 8x8 brick

Holmes Society Sponsorship

Each individual or business that donates to the Museum as a member of the Holmes Society will benefit in a number of ways. 

Holmes Society Silver $500 donation:

  • 4x8 brick with 3 lines of 13 characters per line with the individual or business chosen message, name, and/or dates. 
  •  The brick prominently displayed in the courtyard for endless publicity.
  •  Invitation to a “Holmes Society” reception, prior to the formal dedication.
  •  Your individual or business name on a permanent plaque in the Museum inscribed as a member of the “Holmes Society.”
  •  Individual or business name or logo credited in our newsletter.
  •  The business name or logo listed on the Museum’s website as a sponsor.
  •  Recognition in the “Pathways to History” dedication book.
  •  One year family or business membership.

Holmes Society Gold $1,000 Donation

  •     8”x8” brick with 6 lines of 13 characters with individual or business chosen message, name, and/or dates.
  •  The brick prominently displayed in the courtyard for endless publicity.
  •  Invitation to a “Holmes Society” reception, prior to the formal dedication;
  •  Your individual or business name on a permanent plaque in the Museum inscribed as a member of the “Holmes Society”;

  •  Bench with elegant plaque with individual or business chosen message, name, and/or dates.
